Fibbialla
Fibbialla, soaring at a height of 424 meters above sea level, is one of the smallest and most remote “castella” (walled villages) of the Swiss Pesciatina. The church of Saint Michael Archangel, whose origins are lost in the meadows of past times, signals the entrance to the hamlet and represents the only benchmark of its urban layout. In fact, the entire village develops around the church, upward on an extremely steep slope. On the left side of the rear of the church there is a small terrace that opens out on the surrounding landscape, offering a dominant position for a breathtaking panorama over nearby castles and chestnut woods.
