Massa Cozzile
Massa Cozzile is located in the heart of the Valdinievole valley and stretches over a territory that is partly hilly and partly flatland. On the hills, the walled village of Massa soars and from here an ancient steep Roman route departs that will lead you to Cozzile. This hilltop town is dominated by the massive Castle or Palazzo de Gubernatis (De Gubernatis Palace), built entirely in the 19th century in perfect Medieval style. On the surrounding hillocks, amidst olive groves and a lush green countryside, you will admire the Croci Sanctuary, the medieval bridge of Barano, the church of Pupigliano, the 15th century Shrine of Cozzile and the remains of the ancient Verruca Fortress.
Massa Cozzile is one of the most ancient towns where you will be enraptured by breathtaking views and the peacefulness of Tuscan hills.
