Archery
The passion we nurture for archery ensures that we maintain the strong ties with our glorious Medieval past. A passion that is alive and kicking and renewed each year at local festivals and folklore events. And a tangible sign of the enthusiasm that archery still arouses among local people can be perceived, for instance, on the occasion of the Palio dei Rioni (a competition between districts), held in Pescia every year on the first Sunday of September.
Archery is a sport activity that can still be practiced outdoors, at specific ‘pavilions’ that are set up on many sports grounds and farm holiday resorts around the region. You can take advantage of a vacation spent in the Valdinievole to test your concentration and ability to hit the bull’s eye. Your vacation will be turned into a unique travel experience that will thrill both children and adults and allowing you to take a dive into the past.
