Tempting, aphrodisiac, even antioxidant: who doesn’t love chocolate?
Not everyone knows that Valdinievole is a fundamental destination for those who travel along the so-called “Chocolate Valley”, found in the northern part of Tuscany that covers the area from Prato to Pisa and where master chocolate makers of international fame are concentrated.
Tradition, high-quality cocoa and unusual combinations are the key ingredients for the excellence attained by the chocolate makers in Monsummano Terme and in general throughout Valdinievole, devoted to the production of this “nectar of the gods”. They follow the entire production process and introduce new proposals by experimenting with innovative combinations, fanciful shapes and ingredients that are lower in fat.
Each year, between the end of January and the beginning of February, the “Cioccolosità” tasting fair is held in Monsummano Terme in collaboration with Slowfood. An appointment not to be missed for a full immersion into the magic of chocolate. While in the area, why not take the opportunity to try out the local spas for a holiday experience that offers well-being and pleasure?
