The Flowers’ Fair
Carnations, gladioli, chrysanthemums, lilies, roses, irises, ornamental plants, orchids and Tuscan olive trees: these are the protagonists of the new "Comicent" market in Pescia. Flower cultivation and production in Valdinievole, and particularly in Pescia, is one of the most important economic activities of central Italy. And every day, inside the modern flower market, whose structure was designed by the Savioli architecture group, flowers and plants are regularly controlled, exhibited and marketed the world over.
Periodically, a grand exhibition of national renown is organized that is devoted to floral nurseries, cut flowers, foliages and potted plants. This great event is not just reserved to field operators, but is also open to the public and provides enterprises with an opportunity to display their best productions, latest experiments, creations and compositions with cut flowers, ornamental plants, olive trees and citrus plants of excellent quality.
